ARTIST STATEMENT

prologue

An archetypal photograph embodies timeless qualities that resonate universally, capturing the essence of human experience. It often features striking composition, balance, and clarity, drawing the viewer's eye to a central subject that conveys emotion or narrative. The use of light and shadow plays a critical role, enhancing textures and creating depth. These photographs may evoke a sense of nostalgia or familiarity, often portraying relatable themes such as love, loss, or the beauty of nature. Whether through vivid colors or poignant monochrome tones, an archetypal photograph transcends its immediate context, inviting viewers to explore their own interpretations and emotional connections. Ultimately, this series serves as a powerful visual language, communicating profound ideas and feelings that linger long after the image is seen.
